A man tried run down two San Francisco paramedics Monday morning in an ambulance he stole from them.
According to a tweet from the San Francisco Fire Department, the incident occurred at 6:55 a.m. at 1717 Harrison Street.
The ambulance was “posted for emergency response” when a male believed to be in his 40s approached the ambulance and began attacking it with a stake.
The attacker gained control of the vehicle and began driving in circles around a BestBuy parking lot, at one point trying to strike the paramedics.
After breaking out windows, the attacker fled. No one was injured in the incident.
This morning two of our members were attacked by someone who used a stake from a tree, smashing windows and trying to assault them. This is another ambulance out of service and two personnel who are rightfully, shaken up. This behavior in our City is not acceptable. (Cont’d) pic.twitter.com/507Dlkw6Ah
