Malley Introduces Multiple Innovations in their Ford Transit Ambulance Conversion

NEW ORLEANS: Malley Industries is pleased to introduce its newest ambulance conversion on the mid-roof Ford Transit at EMS World Expo, New Orleans, Oct 5 – 7 (booth 657).

“Our lightweight formed interior takes advantage of the contours of the Transit chassis, which provides noticeably more headroom, space between the action wall and squad bench, and provides the highest payload capacity of any other conversion on the Ford Transit,” says President & CEO Terry Malley.

The new Malley Transit Ambulance design features:

  • With payload capacity of 2,500 lbs. on the mid roof Transit 250, the lightweight conversion will reduce operating costs by improving fuel economy and decrease wear on replaceable chassis components
  • Unique contoured  interior adds  2″ of aisle width  over traditional  straight wall   construction
  • Fewer seams than traditional wood/mica/aluminum interiors; making it easy to sanitize
  • Energy-absorbent, flexible walls with rounded corners are less likely to cause injury in the event of a collision
  • Bright interior enhances lighting for performing medical procedures
  • Access to stair chair compartment & ALS kit tree from outside the vehicle
  • Increased cab room with full seat recline for improved comfort
