Louisville Ambulance Crew Injured in Fatal Crash

Three in serious condition after crash

LOUISVILLE, Kentucky — WDRB reports that one person has died, and three others are in serious condition after an SUV crashed head on into an ambulance Wednesday evening.

The collision occurred on Taylor Boulevard at approximately 6:30 p.m., according to the Louisville Metro Police Department.

Police tell WDRB they believe an SUV was traveling south on Taylor Boulevard when it crossed into the northbound lanes and struck the ambulance head on.

A passenger in the SUV was pronounced dead at the scene.

The crew in the ambulance were transported to University Hospital in serious condition.

The ambulance did not have a patient on board at the time of the accident.

The driver of the SUV was also transported to the hospital in critical condition.
