BBC – The London Ambulance Service is warning of an increase in attacks on paramedics answering emergency calls in the capital. There have been five attacks in just four days. In the latest incident, a medic responding to a patient beside a busy road was assaulted after being challenged by a passer-by about his parking. In a separate incident on the same day a colleague was kicked by a patient in Battersea. In this report, paramedic Sarah Phillips talks about her experience while Jason Killens, director of operations at the service, says it will not tolerate aggression towards its staff.
