Infant Injured in Albuquerque Ambulance Crash

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KOB) – A 1-month-old baby is undergoing emergency surgery after the ambulance it was in was hit by a truck. It happened Tuesday afternoon along the I-25 Frontage Road and Mountain Road.

Sky 7 video showed the ambulance flipped onto its side, with emergency equipment scattered all over the road. Police said the plastic incubator seen in the middle of the road contained a 1-month old baby.

Investigators told KOAT the ambulance was traveling south on the I-25 Frontage Road with its lights and sirens on.
