Holiday Train Ride Mishap at Melville Farm

MELVILLE,”žN.Y. — The Melville (N.Y.) Fire Department was called to the White Post Farms after”ža 19-year-old female employee suffered a fractured leg”žwhen a holiday train came off the track and pinned her leg.

The Nov. 25 accident occurred on a Sunday afternoon during the farm’s Holiday Extravaganza, which featured Santa Claus. Claus offered the patient his support.

Chief Dave Kaplan led three ambulances and a first responder vehicle on scene.”žThe patient was transported to”žHuntington”žHospital by the Melville Rescue Squad. No other injuries were reported.
