A woman landed in intensive care after leaping from a moving ambulance during a non-emergent call over the weekend, according to a report.
Georgia State Patrol say the patient, Amber Chambers, “sprung to her feet from a seated position and jumped out the rear doors” while the Stephens County ambulance was moving at an estimated 35 miles per hour.

Chambers fell onto the road and injured her head and ankle. She was treated on scene by EMS providers until an air ambulance flew her to the hospital.
Police say Chambers remains in intensive care. No charges will be filed against her or the EMS provider driving the ambulance.
