Funeral Planned for Douglas County Paramedic Killed in Ambulance Wreck

Funeral arrangements were announced Tuesday for the Douglas County paramedic killed in a weekend ambulance wreck near Douglasville.

The funeral for Paul Holmes will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Douglasville First Baptist Church, with interment at Whitley-Garner at Rosehaven Cemetery. Visitation is set for 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday and Friday at Whitley-Garner at Rosehaven Funeral Home.

Douglas County spokesman Wes Tallon told the AJC that Holmes, 37, died early Monday morning at Grady Memorial Hospital, where he was airlifted following the wreck.
