Fairfax County firefighters and paramedics put into service a Medical Ambulance Bus (MAB); it provides the department increased capacity for the treatment and transport of patients within the county and Northern Virginia. The MAB unit was purchased with Urban Areas Security Initiative (UASI) federal grant dollars.
