Emergency Vehicle Scavenger Hunt at FDIC 2013

Van Wert, OH – Custom ambulance manufacturer, Braun Industries, is excited to announce they will be hosting an emergency vehicle scavenger hunt at the Fire Department Instructor’s Conference 2013. FDIC 2013 is the world’s largest fire training-based conference and exhibition. This year, it will be held April 22 – 27, 2013 at the Indiana Convention Center and Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, IN. Exhibit halls will be open April 25 – 27, which is when Braun will hold the interactive challenge for show participants.

The Braun Scavenger Hunt is a “play-scan-win” game designed to engage show participants in visiting each Braun ambulance that will be on display at FDIC 2013. Located in the main hall of Lucas Oil Stadium, Braun will feature five emergency vehicles total. These units will be in the Braun Industries’ main booth, #4420, along with the GM (#3357) and Navistar (#5345) chassis booths.

Show participants are invited to first stop by Braun booth #4420 to pick up an official Braun Scavenger Hunt entry card. The entry card includes a map of the models to visit, along with instructions, questions, and contest rules for the challenge. Scavenger hunt entrants will then visit each Braun model on display, where they will scan a QR code graphic. These QR codes will bring up short video clips that unlock the answers to the questions on their entry card.

Once a participant has visited all Braun models and worked to answer the questions, they will return to the Braun booth to drop off their completed entry card. Every entry with the correct answers will receive Braun branded merchandise on the spot. In addition, one lucky grand prize winner will win a Kindle Fire HD 8.9″ tablet with four-corner mounting case.

The FDIC 2013 Braun Scavenger Hunt is the first interactive challenge the ambulance manufacturer is hosting at a major tradeshow. The hunt was designed to increase traffic to all of Braun’s emergency vehicles on display. More importantly, the videos tied to the QR codes are geared to quickly educate participants on the major construction features and innovations the ambulance manufacturer has to offer. Leveraging mobile technology, Braun hopes to reach more participants than they have in the past, and convey their important marketing messages in a more effective and interactive manner.

Official contest rules state all entrants should be 18 years or older. Braun employees, dealers, and vendors are not eligible to play. Only completed entry forms with correct answers will be considered valid submissions. All completed entry cards should be dropped off at the Braun booth; entries will not be accepted at the GM or Navistar booths. Prizes for entry (Braun branded merchandise) will be handed out on return of the completed entry form. Completed forms will be reviewed on-the-spot for correct answers. The grand prize winner will be selected from all contest entrants after the show and their Kindle and cover will be mailed out. In the event that valid contact information is not provided on the grand prize winner’s form, a new winner will be selected.
