Driver Slams into Ambulance in San Antonio (TX)

Three people were hurt in a crash early Wednesday involving an ambulance in San Antonio, TX, including a patient and the ambulance operator, according to a report.

The accident happened around 1 a.m. Wednesday at an intersection, News 4 San Antonio reports.

Authorities said the driver was speeding before crashing into the back of the ambulance at the stop light.

The crash pinned the driver inside the vehicle. He was rushed to the hospital in serious condition after being cut out of the car.

Rescue crews then had to cut away the car from the ambulance to get the doors open to get the patient out of the crashed ambulance.

Both that patient and ambulance operator were taken to the hospital.
