Driver Killed in Collision with AMR Ambulance in Moorpark (CA)

One person was killed after a crash involving an American Medical Response (AMR) ambulance in Moorpark, California, Tuesday night.

The car was traveling on the 118 Freeway about 10:15 p.m. when it veered in front of the ambulance, KTLA reports.

The driver of the car was pronounced dead at scene. The ambulance operator was transported to the hospital, but is expected to be fine, California Highway Patrol Officer Casey Oppelt said.

Police have yet to determine what caused the car to swerve in front of the ambulance.
