Costa Rican Ambulance Swept Away by River

There was a scary situation in Costa Rica this weekend when an ambulance was swept away down a river.

It happened the in the Ceibo River, in Buenos Aires de Puntarenas. The Costa Rican News reports the Costa Rican Social Security Fund ambulance was taking a different route because of a roadblock in the area.

A grainy image posted to the news website appears to show the white van floating in the river. The person driving the ambulance was not hurt. The incident is under investigation by local officials.
