Chicago Fire Engine, Ambulance Hit in Separate Crashes Just Minutes Apart

A fire engine and an ambulance were hit by other vehicles in two separate crashes five minutes of each other Tuesday night, according to published reports.

The crashes happened in Chicago’s West Town and Greater Grand Crossing neighborhoods, NBC Chicago reports.

At 11:25 p.m., a vehicle ran a red light and struck an ambulance on West Chicago Avenue, Chicago police said. A paramedic in the ambulance suffered a broken clavicle.
