Police in Garland, Texas, said a woman was arrested Sunday after she crashed an ambulance stolen from Baylor Hospital.

WFAA reports officers received a hit-and-run call involving the ambulance around 4:50 p.m. Sunday. They later learned the ambulance belonged to the Wilmer Fire Department.

Police say the woman turned on the ambulance’s lights and sirens when police found her driving the rig. The woman is then accused of leading the officers on a chase and driving erratically through a residential area.

Police said the woman eventually drove through a metal guardrail, disabling the ambulance.

The 34-year-old woman was believed to be under the influence of an illegal drug. She now faces several charges.
