INDIANAPOLIS (AP) – An ambulance on an emergency run crashed into a church’s garage after it collided with a van on an Indianapolis street.
Fire Department officials say no patients were in the ambulance and the medics weren’t badly hurt from the Thursday morning crash on the city’s southwest side.
The driver of the van told firefighters that she didn’t see the stop sign or hear a siren before into the intersection and hitting the ambulance. The Decatur Township ambulance went off the road for about 30 feet before running about halfway into the garage of the First General Baptist Church.
