Former NH EMT Charged with Drugging, Assaulting Children

A former EMT in New Hampshire is accused of drugging and sexually abusing children, authorities said.

Todd Burnim is accused of abusing three children under the age of 13, according to the Associated Press. The 54-year-old was indicted this month by a Rockingham County grand jury on a 12 counts of felonious sexual assault and aggravated felonious sexual assault.

The abuse allegedly took place between 2012 and 2019. It is not known how Burnim knew his alleged victims or if Bernim was on-duty at the time.

He was also indicted on 15 counts of possession of child sex abuse images.

Burnim once served as an EMT for Kensington and East Kingston fire departments. He had recently worked at Portsmouth Hospital and Action Ambulance Service.

He was arrested in January after a nearly two hour standoff, and has remained in jail since then.

Burnim’s attorney declined to comment to the Associated Press on Wednesday.
