New video shows when an ambulance in the United Kingdom exploded moments after dropping off a 91-year-old patient.
The video shows two workers wheeling the woman to her home in Barton-under-Needwood, Staffordshire, on March 14, the Mirror reported.
One of the employees can be seen checking the ambulance after being alerted to smoke pouring from the engine. The ambulance exploded several minutes later with a force powerful enough to rip off the ambulance’s roof, sending it flying 50 feet in the air.
No one was hurt in the explosion, but it caused extensive damage to a neighbor’s home and car.
The private ambulance company, EMED, said it was looking into the cause of the fire.
