FL Woman Arrested after Stealing Ambulance, Leading Chase

A Florida woman is accused of stealing an ambulance from a children’s hospital and leading deputies on a chase, according to Fox 25 Orlando.

The ambulance was tracked through a GPS system from Golisano Children’s Hospital Thursday morning to a gas station.

Police said Ariel Marchan-Le Quire, 31, was confronted by deputies but Marchan-Le Quire allegedly fled driving recklessly. Police said she drifted across lanes and nearly flipped the ambulance at one point.

She then pulled over but sped away with the ambulance’s emergency lights on as a deputy approached the rig. Police said Marchan-Le Quire later stopped again and was arrested.

She is facing several charges, including grand theft of a motor vehicle.
