EMT from New Jersey Dies from COVID-19

An EMT with New Jersey’s Monmouth-Ocean Hospital Service Corporation (MONOC) died on Sunday after battling COVID-19, officials said.

Howell Police EMS identified her as Liana Sà¡.

“Our thoughts and prayers are with her family tonight and with her EMS family as well. May she rest in peace,” the post read.

Her ex-husband told TV Globo Sà¡ was working “day and night” transporting patients.

“On her last shift, she felt bad, went home and died within three days. She was totally exposed,” her ex-husband said in an interview with TV Globo.

Further information was not released.

MONOC closed its doors on April 1 after serving the community for over 40 years.
