Mobile Monitoring® is one of the largest GPS providers in Louisiana and has over 6,000 devices deployed in governmental, industrial, emergency services, commercial and private vehicles located throughout the United States. One of their equipment providers recently introduced an app that will allow Mobile Monitoring® clients to review and manage their vehicles directly from a smartphone or tablet.
The Contigo GPS Fleet Tracker app is available for free from the iTunes® App Store and Google Play, and allows customers to view all of their fleet vehicles on a map as well as track their vehicles in real time. Other features include which vehicles or groups to display or hide, and the ability to see vehicle speed, stopped, and idle time.
“With customers always being on the go, having the option of managing day-to-day operations while out of the office is imperative,” says Blane Comeaux, vice president of AMS. “This new app allows our customers the flexibility to manage their fleet conveniently and efficiently.”
“Advancements in technology have allowed Mobile Monitoring® to move beyond simply tracking and location services. Our devices also help our clients improve safety by monitoring speeding, harsh driving behavior and unauthorized use, improve efficiency with routing, locating and geo-fences, and reduce major vehicle repair costs with time and mileage based maintenance alerts,” Comeaux adds.
