New Rig Helps Florida Medics on the Beach

MANATEE COUNTY, Fla. (WTSP) –  The next time you head to the beach in Manatee County, you can feel a little safer.

Monday, paramedics rolled out a new “quick response vehicle”, which allows them to drive right up to the ocean shoreline to reach someone who’s drowning or needs medical attention.

Manatee County paramedics got the SUV up and running in time to test it out before we hit peak tourism season.
