KALAMAZOO, MICH. (June 7, 2010) – Life EMS Ambulance has dedicated its new LEED-certified service facility in Kalamazoo, Mich., the first of its kind in the state and one of the first such EMS service facilities in the nation. The event was part of Life EMS’ 20-year anniversary of serving southwest Michigan, including Kalamazoo and Allegan counties.

The general contracting for the $2 million, 18,170-square-foot facility was handled by CSM Group and the architectural firm was Byce & Associates. Both companies are based in Kalamazoo. The renovated and expanded facility, which triples the space of the original site, features renovated office space, state-of-the-art vehicle maintenance bays for Life EMS Ambulance’s specialty fleet, education/training areas and predictive deployment technology.
