Life Core Technologies is now Cryothermic Systems, Inc.

CLEVELAND — Life Core Technologies, a medical device company developing and marketing novel products in the field of cerebral cooling, proudly announces its name change.  Effective immediately, Life Core Technologies’ new name is Cryothermic Systems, Inc. The new name better describes the products it produces and accurately reflects the company’s mission of supporting better outcomes through early cooling during cardiac arrest, stroke or traumatic brain injury.

According to Mike Burke, President and CEO, “we are using the opportunity to align our company name and our product, the Excel® Cryo Cooling System, with its application for patients suffering from cardiac arrest, stroke or traumatic brain injury.” Branding the new name using the term “Cryo,” which comes from the Greek word Kruos, or “to cool,” associates the company more directly with the physical cooling state the Excel® Cryo Cooling System provides to the brain.

In addition, a new company logo has also been created in order to better reflect and strengthen the company’s name change and brand. “By aligning our corporate logo and tag line with our core business offerings, we are more clearly communicating the company’s focus to our customers and the investment community,” said Tim Seekely, Sr. Vice President, Global Sales.

The company will continue to operate in its current location in Cleveland, Ohio.  The web domain is now www.cryothermicsystems.com to reflect the company’s new brand, and the site itself is new and completely updated with company, product and industry information.  Visitors to the previous website will be automatically redirected to the new site, and e-mails will be forwarded as well.
