Intermedix Named One of America’s Best Midsize Employers by Forbes

NASHVILLE, Tenn.– Intermedix, a global leader in the health care information technology industry, announced Tuesday its selection to be included in Forbes Magazine’s 2018 America’s Best Midsize Employers list. The company ranked fifth overall in the health care equipment and services category.

This is the first time Intermedix has been recognized by the publication as one of the best U.S. companies and appeared on the annual list. Intermedix was the highest ranked company headquartered in Nashville to make the list.

Each year, Forbes compiles the Best Employers list based on an independent survey that is anonymously sent to a vast sample of more than 30,000 American employees working for companies employing at least 1,000 people in their U.S.-operations.

“It’s a huge honor to be acknowledged by Forbes as one of our country’s best mid-sized employers,” said Joel Portice, CEO of Intermedix. “Our team members have always been guided and inspired by our values and mission of serving those who save lives.”

The survey, conducted by research company Statista, asks employees to rate their willingness to recommend their employer to friends and family, and evaluate other employers in their respective industries that stood out either positively or negatively. Employees surveyed also gave their opinions on a series of statements surrounding work-related topics such as working conditions, salary, potential for development and company image regarding their current employer.

“The dedication and commitment our team members have toward their customers and colleagues, has created a consistent, positive culture where we all work collaboratively together to accomplish true innovation,” continued Portice. “It is that dedication that has allowed us to be recognized among these other esteemed companies.”

Intermedix joins companies such as Penguin Random House, New Balance, St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital and L.L. Bean on this year’s list.

Headquartered in Nashville, TN, the company has 10 main offices located in the United States, as well as offices in the United Kingdom, New Zealand and Lithuania.
