Developments in who provides emergency medical services in the village of South Blooming Grove, New York, have created a stir in the community, according to a report.

According to News 12, village officials recently announced on social media that a new emergency medical service, Blooming Grove EMS, was operating.

The existing EMS provider, Blooming Grove Volunteer Ambulance, has reportedly spoken out against it, saying the new department’s members are creating a “dangerous scenario” by responding to calls that Blooming Grove Volunteer Ambulance personnel have already been dispatched to.

South Blooming Grove is a village located inside the town of Blooming Grove in Orange County, New York, about an hour and a half northwest of New York City.
