Country Star Dillon Carmichael to Headline Benefit for NC Paramedic

Paramedic Lisa Stophel has some country star power in her corner – Dillon Carmichael.

Carmichael will be headlining the Lisa Collins Stophel Cancer Benefit later this month as Stophel battles Stage 4 Small Bowel Cancer. Carmichael’s drummer, Brian Collins, is Stophel’s brother.

Stophel, who dedicated 18 years of her life to help others, will be using the money raised through the concert to take time off from work for cancer treatments.

“It’s really hard for me to be on this side of the fence because I’m normally taking care of everyone else, and helping them feel better. So I won’t say I’m a bad patient, but I’m more independent and would like to take care of it myself. But this one I can’t do on my own,” she told WECT.

The show is 6:15 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 11 at Greenfield Lake Amphitheater in Wilmington. Tickets are on sale through Live Nation.
