Cops: Drunken Driver Slams Into Paramedic

TARRYTOWN, N.Y. – An off-duty Greenburgh paramedic was rear-ended last night by a driver police said was drunk, causing the paramedic’s car to bounce forward almost 65 feet.

“You can still see his blinkers on,” said Tarrytown Sgt. Geno Bonanno at the scene, pointing to the paramedic’s green Honda Civic. “He was stopped at a light and this other vehicle crashed into him.”

According to police, the paramedic, whose name has not been released, was stopped at a light on South Broadway getting ready to turn left onto Benedict Avenue. That was when a red Acura Integra driven by Louis Quizhpe of Sleepy Hollow crashed into him.
