Baltimore Names First Female EMS Chief

The Baltimore Fire Department named today a 20-year veteran of the Emergency Medical Services division its first female battalion chief.

Laura Shiloh is the only woman in the department’s 149-year history to reach that standing, which represents the fifth-highest level of command. Shiloh is one of three battalion chiefs in the EMS division.
