Man Gets Nine Months for Assault on Hennepin County (MN) EMS Crew

A man has been sentenced to nine months in prison and after being convicted of assaulting a Minnesota ambulance crew this summer, KSTP reported.

Tyereh Dontrell House was recently sentenced for attacking the Hennepin County EMS crew back in July. Hennepin Healthcare EMS Chief Martin Scheerer said attacks are a daily occurrence.

Sam Erickson, vice president of the Hennepin County Association of Paramedics and EMTs, said the judge imposed the maximum sentence allowed and the union is calling on lawmakers to change the law for future stiffer penalties.
