Kentucky EMT Charged, Allegedly Murdering Wife with Medications Stolen from Work

LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – A Kentuckiana EMT has been charged with murdering his wife. Michael Whitehead, 26, is accused of drugging his wife and causing her death.

Whitehead was arrested Sept. 30 on Hawthorne Drive in Jeffersonville about six months after his 24-year-old wife, Ashley, died. LMPD Homicide Lieutenant Barry Wilkerson says the case was originally a death investigation.

“Homicide detectives were able to determine she was actually injected with different medications,” Wilkerson said.
