STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — An EMS lieutenant from Staten Island may lose his job with the FDNY after allegedly posting details of a 911 call online — a joke that violated federal medical-privacy laws — according to a published report.
Michael Palleschi, 31, whose last known address is in Oakwood, posted details of a 911 call about a woman complaining of a swollen vagina to his Facebook page, without blocking out the patient’s name and address, the New York Post is reporting, citing information from sources.
According to the report, he was apparently so amused by the call that he snapped a photo of the computer screen in his ambulance that displays the patient’s name, address, medical complaint and posted it online.
