Authorities are investigating the death of Peter Forrest, 64, an employee of Marquee Ambulette, a Nassau County-based patient transportation company.
Forrest was discovered on the morning of January 14 on Castle Hill Avenue in Inwood, lying face-down in a pool of blood inside the company vehicle, ABC 7 reports.
New York police responding to the scene reported that Forrest was unconscious and unresponsive, with trauma to his head and face. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Law enforcement officials described the injuries as suspicious and confirmed the case is being treated as a homicide.
Forrest was also known as a former frontman of the 1980s rock band 24/7 Spyz, also known as “P Fluid,”
Video captured at the scene shows another vehicle approaching the parked ambulette and its driver interacting with Forrest.
