Haynes Ambulance Buys Falck/Care Ambulance of Alabama

Falck/Care Ambulance of Alabama announced it be purchased by competitor Haynes Ambulance.

Haynes will assume full control on October 1, WSFA reports.

Haynes will buy Care Ambulance customer contracts, vehicles and equipment, building leases, rights to the Care Ambulance brand in Alabama and other assets. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Haynes would be making an offer of employment to most of the Care workforce, the station reported.

“This is a bittersweet day [for] Care Ambulance and the broader Falck family,” wrote Care Ambulance president and CEO Adam Koontz in a letter alerting staff of the sale. “On the other hand, it’s always difficult to say goodbye to colleagues and friends with whom we’ve shared wonderful memories over the years as part of the Falck family.”
