Greenville County (SC) EMS Fires Four Over Response to Go-Kart Track Death

Greenville County officials terminated four EMS workers following an internal investigation into their handling of a death at Frankie’s Fun Park in Greenville, WSPA reports.

On December 27th, 17-year-old Seveion Sewell died after being struck by a forklift at the popular go-cart track. Sewell was a track employee performing a safety check at the time of the accident.

Two days later, on December 29th, Greenville County EMS was notified of potential policy violations by staff members involved. Following an internal investigation, four EMS workers were fired, and three supervisors faced disciplinary actions.

Specific details about the policy violations have not been disclosed. County officials confirmed that the situation remains under review as they work to determine what went wrong.
