Flags Flown at Half-Staff in CO after Paramedic’s Death

Colorado Gov. Jared Polis ordered flags be at half-staff across the state Sunday in honor of an Eagle County paramedic who died while working a backcountry rescue, according to CBS News.

Steve Zuckerman died on February 23 while responding to a call in Vail.

He also worked on the ski patrol for Beaver Creek resort for more than 25 years.

After his memorial service on Sunday, Beaver Creek held a snowcat procession and fireworks in his honor.
