FEMA Director Returns to Twitter

MIAMI – “Disastersrus” has Tweeted again.

The head of the nation’s emergency management agency, Craig Fugate, had once been a frequent Twitterer, using that handle on the social networking site.

In an article Aug. 8 The Associated Press noted the former Florida emergency manager’s absence from Twitter since becoming the head of FEMA, however. At the time he hadn’t Tweeted in more than four months. On Thursday, there was a new Tweet from ‘disastersrus,’ though Fugate’s page has now been blocked from public view.

Fugate’s return didn’t go unnoticed. At least two friends sent messages welcoming him back.
