FDNY Unveils EMS Week 2015 Poster

NEW YORK (Fire Department City of New York) – Wednesday, May 6, Fire Commissioner Daniel A. Nigro officially unveiled this year’s new citywide posters celebrating national EMS Week 2015, which begins on Sunday, May 17.

This year’s FDNY-developed poster’s theme is “FDNY Strong” featuring members of FDNY from locations throughout the five boroughs – two EMTs, two Paramedics, an EMS Captain and four Firefighters – working together to remove an injured patient from a serious, life-threatening situation. Though not a photo from an actual incident, it vividly shows the lengths FDNY members go to, as well as the tremendous effort and teamwork it takes to accomplish the Department’s life-saving mission.

Designed and produced by Vanguard Direct, the poster is intended to raise awareness about the life-saving work of FDNY’s EMS members and will be displayed in 350 kiosks citywide.
