Falck announced that four of its first responders will receive the national Star of Life Award next month in Washington, D.C.

The Star of Life Award, presented by the American Ambulance Association (AAA), recognizes on-duty or off-duty services above and beyond the call of duty, notable community contributions, and/or consistent service records that exemplify the emergency medical services (EMS) mission.

Honorees from Falck include: Paramedic Supervisor Jason Baum, of Falck Mobile Health–San Diego; EMT Yahya Elshawarbi, of Falck Northern California/Alameda County; EMT Phillip Neff, of Falck Mobile Health–Southern California/Orange County, and EMT Adam Mysona, of Falck Rocky Mountain–Aurora (Colo.).

Together with other nominees from ambulance services across the nation, they will be honored at the American Ambulance Association (AAA) Stars of Life Awards Ceremony at the Hyatt Regency Washington in Washington, D.C., November 10-13.

“Jason, Yahya, Phillip, and Adam represent the best of the best—those who every day embody Falck’s values of commitment to care, trust building, and the belief that together we bring more value to people and society,” said Yann Hedoux, president and CEO of Falck USA. “Each of them exemplifies the qualities and actions that help protect the health and safety of the communities they serve.”

While in Washington, the award recipients will also visit with U.S. Senators and members of Congress and their staffs.
