Chelsea Prichard, nursing director of critical care at Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital, gave CBS affiliate DFW11 an up-close look at the hospital’s two intensive care units dedicated to coronavirus patients.

Prichard said that while they haven’t seen a big wave of coronavirus patients at their facility yet, they are preparing for it.

Taking care of those patients now also means stepping into a new role, since loved ones aren’t allowed to physically visit.

Although the hospital did not want to specify the number of patients it is treating, they noted that the number has been reported to county health officials.

Of the hospitals currently reporting its number of sick, 119 hospital beds in Tarrant County are being used to treat COVID-19 patients, or about five percent of all their patients.
