The Ottawa Paramedic says the spread of COVID-19 is under control, according to a report by the Global News.

The service reported two cases of the virus by staff members, meeting Ottawa Public Health’s definition of a workplace outbreak. The virus has not spread throughout the workplace, according to a memo sent by Anthony DiMonte, Ottawa’s general manager of emergency and protective services.

The service is screening staff for COVID-19 before the start of shifts, is requiring paramedics to wear masks when working together in vehicles and has implemented enhanced cleaning procedures in the workplace.
