FDNY Deputy Chief Yonatan Klein was appointed to the rank of EMT in 2007, promoted to paramedic in 2009 and promoted to lieutenant in 2014. In October 2015, he was assigned to the Safety Command’s Research and Development Unit, promoted to captain in 2020, and Deputy Chief in 2022, assigned to Manhattan. He serves as the field liaison to R & D, a trained fatal incident and collision investigator, and an NYS CIC.
