Richard Beebe, MS, RN, NREMT-P, is the paramedic program director for Bassett Healthcare's Center for Rural Emergency Medical Services Education, clinical assistant professor at the State University of New York at Cobleskill, N.Y. He has been an EMT since 1974 and an EMS educator since 1987. He is also the co-author of Fundamentals of Basic Emergency Care (third edition) and the Professional Paramedic series.
