Larry Boxman’s career in both the public and private sectors of EMS has spanned over 35 years. He began his career in the U.S. Air Force and he has worked the past 25 years at Metro West Ambulance in Washington County, Oregon. While he is currently serving as the Vice President of Operations for Metro West, Larry has also worked as a Paramedic and as the Clinical Manager.
Larry’s work focuses on managing both emergency and non-emergency transportation in a high-performance system. Larry also serves on a variety of councils and committees that help to develop and improve the EMS system, as a whole.
Larry is a graduate of Oregon Graduate Institute’s Six Sigma Black Belt program, and Fitch & Associates Ambulance Service Management program. He’s a site reviewer for the Commission on Accreditation of Ambulance Services and is currently serving as the President of the Board of Directors for Mist-Birkenfeld Rural Fire Protection District.
