Debbie Harrell, MSN, RN, NE-BC, has worked in burn care for nearly 40 years. She was director of Cincinnati Shriners Hospital’s burn unit, worked in burn care research, and developed teaching tools about lighter safety, burn prevention, and burn care. She is currently the director of professional relations at Shriners Children’s Ohio and speaks on the state, regional, national, and international levels to educate all levels of healthcare professionals on burn management.
