Carmit Rapaport is the director of the Institute for Regulation of Emergency and Disaster at the College of Law and Business in Israel. Dr. Rapaport is also the academic coordinator of the MA program in Disaster Management at the Department of Geography and Environmental Studies at the University of Haifa. She received her PhD from the Technion-Israel Institute of Technology in 2011. Dr. Rapaport fields of interests are population behavior during emergencies and disasters, crisis leadership, adaptive behavior and business continuity. She has received research grants from the Ministry of Science and Technology, Ministry of Tourism, and Ministry of Defense, among others. She participated in several EU funded projects, including EU-FP7 BEMOSA and CORE EU-Horizon 2020.
