After paying nearly $100 thousand in late fees, Colorado Springs (CO) AMR is back on track to meet response times, according to KRDO-TV.
The city and AMR agreed to a new contract on April 1 that came with new response time goals. AMR met its goals in April and May but did not in June and July.
One possible reason AMR made its goals in April and May was because the state under a stay-at-home order then.

On June 3, a patient waited 48 minutes for a ride to the hospital. Another patient waited 40 minutes for an ambulance to arrive.
“On-time” varies between 8 and 16 minutes, depending if the call is considered urban or rural.
Although official data is not available yet for August, ambulances were on-time 90% of the time.
“Preliminarily, August, we are in compliance with the contract,” said Jim Webber, the ambulance contract administrator for Colorado Springs.
