Chesterfield (VA) Fire & EMS Medical Service Unit Keeps Firefighters Cool

A truck used for mass casualty incidents is pulling double duty at Chesterfield (VA) Fire & EMS.

The department’s Medical Services Unit is providing extra support during the hot and humid days of summer by also acting as a cool-down area for firefighters at incident scenes, WRIC-TV reports.

The truck has air conditioning and food and drinks inside, in addition to cooling chairs and an awning outside.
