SC Medical Center Prohibiting Vistors Because of COVID-19 Increase

Beginning 6 a.m. Thursday morning, Conway (SC) Medical Center (CMC) will return to a no-visitor policy because of the heavy increase in COVID-19 patients, according to a report from WBTW.

One-patient exceptions will be made for patients in end-of-life situations, the birthing area, and pediatric patients.

All patients will be screened for the virus when entering the hospital, which will include questions about symptoms, potential exposure to an infected person, and taking temperatures. Patients going to a physician’s office may only use the Patient Services entrance or the Medical Arts Building entrance.

CMC also noted that its main lobby entrance will also be closed.
