FDNY EMS on Alert After Online Threats

NEW YORK – Emergency medical service crews are on alert today in one New York City borough after online threats were made against them, according to the New York Daily News.

EMTs in Staten Island are being reminded to be careful of their surroundings while out on calls, the newspaper reported.

It’s not clear what was said in the threats. An FDNY spokesman reportedly said the threats were unfounded.

Last month, police and EMS crews had to respond to calls together in Queens as a precaution after another anonymous threat was made against the department.
